Blake's deal with Suzzy...
I almost put the title of this blog as Blake's deal with the "devil" since so many people consider Suzzy as the devil dog, but contrary to belief (except my brother's because he likes Suzzy more) she is adorable, lovable, and is GREAT with Blake. She brings toys to him and she thinks he throws it for her so she brings it back to him and drops it at his feet. He squeals when her and Ellie play together and Suzzy lets him pet her. Ellie, on the other hand, runs! I think it's because she has longer hair and has seen his love for girls with long hair. Anyway, that's an update on my dogs:) The real reason of this post is to tell you this:
We were painting our bedroom a few weeks ago and Raun walked into the hallway. I hear "Bad girl, Suzzy" come out of his mouth and I immediately try to think what she could have done. Of course, I thought she had an accident. So I asked him what happened and he brought me the chewed up nose syringe. Mind you, she has not actually chewed anything up since Ellie has been here. I think she's taught Ellie how to do it so that way she wouldn't get in trouble, but would still delight in the things destroyed. But that day, it was the nose syringe. I laughed, since they are inexpensive unlike my retainer, and told Raun that I bet Blake made a deal with Suzzy since he hates it so much. Well...fast-forward to yesterday. I had just cleaned out Blake's nose and it was lying on the floor for a split second. I wasn't paying attention to where the dogs were because I was calming Blake down. Raun came upstairs and held up the syringe and said "She chewed up another one!" Sadly, it was the one we liked, so we have to go buy the nose saline to get the syringe. We have one left....and it's not going anywhere near the floor. Blake just squealed when Raun held it up, as if he knew that Suzzy had fulfilled the mission. Now I'm going to have to be on the lookout for how Blake will reward Suzzy. Will it be by eating her dog food, pulling her hair, playing with her toys, etc.? I'll let you know when I find out!

My Sick Little Man
We've had our first real sickness this past week, unfortunately. Blake and I have both been sick with a cold and it has ended with Blake's first ear infection. He is still playing and laughing, but he enjoys being cuddled and held a lot of the time. He's had this cold since Wednesday and it still has not gone away. I'm debating whether to go back to the doctor or not, so we'll see. Thankfully, he's not running a temperature, but his little cough sounds so bad. I'm not going to lie, though. I've enjoyed rocking and holding him this week because lately he's enjoyed the floor more than my arms. He's rolling over a lot...especially when he sees the nose syringe coming out. He's trying to learn to crawl...he's more like scooting on his belly at very small increments and doesn't get far. He is sitting up by himself for the most part. He still falls over every now and then, but he's doing a great job. He's can pull himself up onto Raun and me and can hold on for split seconds to the couch. His favorite pasttime is to watch our dogs play together. Boy are they in trouble when he learns to crawl! I've posted some pictures from the past two weeks. And yes, he does have rosy cheeks due to him being sick. Hopefully he gets better soon! John's wedding is in a week and we have to be well.
